Aloo Puri

Aloo Puri is a delightful Indian dish that combines spiced potato filling with soft, fluffy puris, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • Water (as needed)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour and salt.
  2. Add water gradually and knead to form a soft dough.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with cumin seeds, garam masala, turmeric, and salt.
  4. Divide the dough and filling into equal portions.
  5. Roll out a portion of dough, add filling, and seal.
  6. Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a flat circle.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the puris until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding chopped green chilies or onions to the potato filling.
