  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add in softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Spread the apple mixture over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the apples.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
  • Can also be topped with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
