  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the maple glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
  9. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze and let set.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cloves to the batter.
  • These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
