California Roll Sushi Bowls

A delicious and convenient way to enjoy the flavors of a California roll in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/2 pound imitation crab meat
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 4 sheets nori, cut into strips
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions.
  2. Once cooked, mix rice vinegar into the rice and let it cool.
  3. In a bowl, layer the sushi rice, followed by imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber.
  4. Drizzle with soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Top with nori strips and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add pickled ginger on top.
  • Feel free to substitute real crab for imitation crab if desired.
