CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS WITH CANNED BISCUITS

Comfort food doesn’t get easier than this chicken and dumplings recipe that uses canned biscuits for quick and satisfying results.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can canned biscuits
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add cubed chicken, carrots, celery, onion powder, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  3. Drop pieces of canned biscuits on top of the boiling mixture.
  4. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, or until biscuits are fluffy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or parsley.
  • If you prefer a thicker broth, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and stir it in.
