  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, and eggs.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor.
