  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Add olive oil and garlic to the skillet, sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, cream, and dried basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and crumbled bacon to the sauce. Toss to combine.
  6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be made vegetarian by omitting the turkey bacon.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
