Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and chopped rosemary, mixing well.
  4. Sift in the flour and salt, and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut out cookie shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of lemon zest to the dough.
  • These cookies can be decorated with icing after they cool.
