  • 4 slices turkey bacon

  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. Add sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until caramelized.
  4. In a large pot, combine the broth, orzo, thyme, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the caramelized onions and crumbled bacon.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with Gruyère cheese, and bake for 20 minutes.
