  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and green peppers, and sauté until soft.
  2. Push the vegetables to the side and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together.
  4. Lower the heat and place slices of provolone cheese on top of the beef mixture. Cover and let it melt.
  5. Toast hoagie rolls if desired. Fill each roll with the beef and cheese mixture.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the beef.
  • Serve with a side of fries for a complete meal.
