  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
