  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top of each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
