Lemony Broccoli Pasta

A delightful and simple recipe for a fresh lemony pasta with broccoli.

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as spaghetti or linguine)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the pasta pot.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return to the pot.
  5. Pour the garlic oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes over the pasta and toss to coat.
  6. Season with salt and stir in Parmesan cheese before serving.
