- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and mix well, then stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just blended.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool, then mix powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over the top.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark maple syrup.
