- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
- Add the baking soda and salt, and mix well.
- Stir in the sugar and flour, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool for a few minutes in the tin before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a healthier option, try substituting half of the sugar with honey.
