One-Pan Bold Honey BBQ Chicken Rice

  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken to the pan and brown on both sides.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add rice and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and honey BBQ sauce.
  7. Add chicken back to the pan.
  8. Cover and simmer until rice is cooked and chicken is tender.
