  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Spread the frosting over the cooled pumpkin bars and slice into squares.
