  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Set aside and crumble.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, crumbled turkey bacon, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. In a skillet, cook the patties on medium heat until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in cornstarch to thicken.
  6. Add the patties back to the skillet and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include mushrooms in the sauce.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes for a classic meal.
