Soft Apple Cake That’s Moist

A deliciously moist apple cake perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups diced apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased bundt pan.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a nuttier flavor, add 1 cup of chopped walnuts.
  • Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a caramel sauce drizzle.
