- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet; sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine the cooked ziti with the sauce in a large bowl.
- Transfer half of the ziti mixture to a baking dish. Layer with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Top with the remaining ziti and cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
