Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  3. In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm; add to the dry ingredients along with the egg.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread cinnamon and strawberries evenly.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into slices.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Mix cream cheese with a bit of sugar and spread it on top of the warm rolls before serving.

Notes
